the plane ride

We have been learning how to write narratives. Here is one of my narratives I have written.

Flying a Plane

As the sun was going down as slow as a snail. The
old tree stood still. The nice pink and colourful clouds drifted slowly across the sky. Lots of dusty and dirty roads wove their way through the green paddocks. Houses stood in the distance.

Bob came walked to the old oak tree. She wanted to fly her newly made plane. She threw her plane into the air like a dart.

It was all going well until suddenly there was big gust of wind. The plane zoomed to the village. It shot up into the air and then it went down again. It dashed straight towards  bob. “Ahhhhhhhhhh!” Bob yelled.

Bob saw someone. He was running straight towards her. Bob kept on screaming then the man jumped and grabbed the control.  He quickly pressed the up button. The plane shot up like a bullet into the sky just missing Bob’s face.  Finally Bob could control it again. “Thank you,” Bob said. “That's ok” said the man.
Now Bob always checks the weather to make sure it isn’t too  before he goes to fly her plane.

Swimming Assessment

Visual Pepeha

This took me a long time for me to make.
I sketched a portrait of myself.
I found letters to make my name.
Then I stuck it onto a kete.
Then I drew mountains and korus in the background.

WINTER

Winter blows its cold  icy breath everywhere.
The early morning frost is crunchy and white covering then green  grass.
The loud wind howls in the freezing air like a stray dog hungry for a bone.
Tiny snowflakes flutter down to land on the frozen ground,
covering everything with a white sparkling blanket.
The trees become bare, brown bones standing like statues admiring the view.
Heavy rain falls from the dark grey sky, pounding against the soggy ground.
Chilly bitterness in the air, winter is here.

Here is my writing!
Autumn - DRAFT
The cold breeze flows around me as I walk down the pathway. The heavy rain charges down at me like bullets from a plane. . Suddenly I heard a crash of thunder. Then it started to hail. It felt like hundreds of stones crashing on me. Suddenly a big tree zoomed down on the ground. Crash I darted to my bedroom. I opened my curtain. I saw hundreds of leaves blowing up and down over and over again. Then they flew away as fast as they could run. Then I saw dad with a big chainsaw cutting down the tree. It took all day long. BOOM!!!! CRASH!!! Long away. I saw a big fire. I saw lots of smoke the dark grey sky pounding against the soggy ground.
